The support is not restricted to a limited number of calls as we want you to get the very best out of CaterBook and we are happy to help. Having this open minded approach can leave us open to abuse, so we have a fair use policy. The reason we have introduced a policy, is because CaterBook runs on a computer (obviously) and our systems can be affected by problems with Microsoft Windows and third party programs. We will always endeavour to assist with external problems but we can not be held responsible for them!
Support for CaterBook relates to the systems we provide and whilst we are happy to help and advise on operational aspects or methods of accommodation management, this is not directly part of our service. We reserve the right to charge for exceptionally high levels of support. Notification will be made if this is the case.
We strongly recommend avoiding BitTorrent ⁄ FileSharing sites. Research shows that 30% of downloads are infected and often illegal. Our services are often required to repair systems damaged by viruses and this doesn't help keep our costs down. We do not want to penalise all clients, and therefore we dont wish to charge extra for this level of support, but we reserve the right to implement the fair use policy if support is needed through repeated negligence of this kind.
We support the CaterBook system. We do get calls regarding routers, Word for Windows etc etc because we're often told we're “easy to get hold of” We are proud people say this and completely understand the frustration from calling faceless organisations for help and waiting in perpetual queues, we deal with these corporations too!. But we may not know how to sort out another system ⁄ product.
Our CaterBook system can be set to backup the data automatically and this works brilliantly (even if we say so ourselves). We have lost count of the times this service has proved to be almost priceless. A computer irreversably breaks down and we get you back up and running on another machine within hours with minimal fuss. This data backup is dependant of several factors outside our control and therefore the service is not guaranteed.
We do check services from our side however it is your responsibility to ensure backups are in place. Manual backups can be made to any media at any time, it takes just a minute. If you want us to check your automated systems, we be very pleased to check they are fully functional – 01803 840 414.

The Eula License for CaterBook is available on installation and on the install CD. It is very long and boring and is a standard licensing agreement that applies to virtually all software packages. Basically it means we own the rights to the code and the system is licensed to the user. We retain the right to withdraw the service because of non-payment or other legal abuse.
