SMS/Text Confirmations
More new fangled gadgetry! You already know that CaterBook sends your confirmations by e-mail, well now you can text confirmations direct to peoples mobile 'phones too.
You will need an account with ClickaTell and a small file from us with the settings and you will be all set up. There is a small charge for sending texts and the details are on the ClickaTell site. CaterBook will then offer to send a text confirmation if you have entered a mobile number into the clients details - exactly the same as with the e-mail option. You can even send a text with directions to the hotel if the client is lost... by pressing Shift + F2 and entering 'Direct', its as easy as that.

New Reconciliation Option
Many CaterBook customers make use of the Outgoings section...
...and up until now CaterBook has been just one small step away from being full bookkeeping system. So it's time to rectify this and we have added a very simple Reconcile button onto the Outgoings screen. You can now enter your purchases as usual and now when you get your bank statement simply click reconcile on each payment. CaterBook will then add a consecutive number to the payment record and Bobs' your uncle! The reconciliation number will also show on your exported Excel sheet ready for the accountant.
New Colour Coded Tariffs
Following another suggestion from a CaterBook customer, a new function has been added to help display tariff price changes clearly on the Shuffle Chart. If you have seasonal price changes it is useful to be able to see these on the monthly display so that you can be alerted to price fluctuations. To set the colours go to the Tariff Settings (F10) and click the small boxes next to the dates. Each click will bring up a new colour. When your happy with your choice, click 'SAVE TARIFF DATES' and have another look at your Shuffle Chart. - Good Innit!
A Change is as good as a rest
Ok, that might be overstating it but why not brighten up your CaterBook?
You my already know but if you press F12, you will open a colour chart screen. You can now select any colour scheme you like. Give CaterBook your very own makeover. There is always the default button if you decide that the soothing blue/white scheme was best after all. So don't be afraid to experiment.
